Abu Dhabi Real Estate Market Shows Strong Growth
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) reported AED117 billion in real estate transactions during the first half of 2026.
Total transaction value increased by 112%, while transaction volume grew by 61.7% compared with the same period last year.
Sales and Mortgage Activity
Sales transactions reached AED86.1 billion across 16,838 transactions, representing a 163.7% increase in value year on year.
Mortgage transactions reached AED26.7 billion through 8,876 transactions, while Musataha and long-lease transactions recorded AED4 billion.
Foreign Investment Reaches New Levels
Foreign direct investment (FDI) reached AED13.8 billion, increasing by 309% compared with H1 2025.
Investors from 116 nationalities participated in Abu Dhabi's real estate market. The UK, China, Russia, the US, Germany and France were among the leading sources of foreign investment.
Investment zones open to international investors attracted AED75 billion, an increase of 181% from the previous year.
More Investment Opportunities
ADREC approved eight new investment zones, bringing Abu Dhabi's total to 50 investment zones.
The centre also registered 28 new real estate projects, creating additional opportunities for local and international investors.
A More Transparent Real Estate Market
ADREC also issued 2,040 real estate professional licences during H1 2026, taking the total number of licensed brokers to 3,302.
Through Madhmoun, more than 41,200 regulated real estate advertising permits have been issued, supporting greater transparency and confidence in Abu Dhabi's property market.
